Jim Ness is Biggar Rotary Citizen of the Year
The award to retired teacher Jim Ness of Croftfoot Terrace was very richly deserved said club president Leslie Reid at the presentation ceremony, recounting how Jim has become a invaluable member of both the Biggar Museum Trust and the Biggar Archaeology Group. Among his many achievements have been the organising of the Trust’s historic photographic collection, serving on the Brownsbank Cottage sub-committee and even helping to build a wall at the new museum being created on Biggar High Street. With the Archaeology Group he has been deeply involved in many of its most important projects.
