Good news on property front as house sales surge
Registers of Scotland (RoS) said residential sales climbed year-on-year by 10.2 per cent in the third quarter of 2015-16.
House prices also rose by 0.8 per cent since the same time last year to stand at an average £215,512.

Hide AdThe total value of property sales was up 11.1 per cent from £125,427,747 to £112,889,994.
For Scotland as a whole, residentail sales increased by 14.5 per cent in the third quarter of 2015-16.
A total of 28,779 properties were registered - the highest number since 2008-09.
House prices nationally also rose by 1.6 per cent between October and December, to stand at an average of £167,734.
