War hero Felix Morris finally recognised
Felix Morris (88) was serving on a light cruiser providing artillery
support for the landings on the beaches of Normandy while serving with the Royal Navy.

Hide AdHis bravery has now been recognised by the Normandy Council with a Normandy Bar and badge.
But modest Felix, of Pettinain, insists he was only doing his duty.
He said: "It was something we had to do and I was proud to be part of it."
Rural Clydesdale MP David Mundell presented Felix with his badge.

Hide AdDavid said: "I was delighted to be asked by Normandy Council to
present the Normandy Bar and commemorative badge to Mr Morris and also a personal letter from the council's president, Admiral La Perriere.
"It is great that the heroic efforts this war veteran made all those years ago in France have been officially recognised."
